Jason Low is the Atmospheric Measurements Manager at SCAQMD in the Science and Technology Advancement Division. He oversees its network of over 35 ambient air monitoring stations and is responsible for coordinating field activities of special air monitoring projects focusing on air toxics and the local impacts of air pollution. Also, he is a co-coordinator for the AQMD monitoring response to regional wildfires and other events that may affect ambient air quality.
He graduated with a B.S. in both Chemistry and Biology, and a M.S. and Ph. D in Chemistry with a focus on atmospheric chemistry all from the University of California, Irvine. He started at SCAQMD in the laboratory performing technical analytical work. Prior to his current position, he led the group responsible for quality assurance of the air monitoring and laboratory data.
